Spring Equinox. I wanted to stay in the darkness, in the silence, in the calm of the longest night. But this wild beauty woke me up. It made me smile, warmed my heart and caressed my soul. She helped me out of my hibernation. She held my hand and showed me the way back to the infinite cycle. And almost without realising it I am here and now. I feel the warmth of the earth beneath my feet, I feel that it is awake and that life is bursting wherever I look. I close my eyes and hear that the silence has gone to give way to the wind that plays with the new leaves of the trees, which with their new foliage promise to give shelter to small robins. I see how Sun hurries every dawn to catch up with Moon and see her for a few minutes. A little more each day. I caress the fluffy shiny moss that calls to me every time I walk through the forest. I watch as the meadows become blankets of bright colours that invite you to dream. The ditches of the paths are a gathering of little plant spirits that accompany us on our way. And this is how the Spring Equinox, Ostara, arrives. Tonight at 21.24 Spring will sit on the throne that Winter has so lovingly possessed. And now I realise that yes, it is here and now that I want to stay forever. Not at the Equinox, but in the "here and now", living in the present and dreaming of the future.
