Beltane. I feel the fire burning inside me. I feel the flames dance an unknown dance, but so ancient that it has always lived inside me. It's a wild, deep dance that is lost in the memory of time. It's a dance that tells a thousand stories, it speaks of how light shakes hands with darkness, right now. Tonight that fire will burn to celebrate this special moment. We have inherited the old traditions of our ancestors, we honour the fertility of the land, we feel the magic of Walpurgisnacht creeping among us. The ancient Cétshamhain today gives way to the luminous half of the cycle. The earth may not be as fertile and strong as our ancestors met it, but I feel it vibrating beneath my feet. We worship Freyr and Freyja that the harvests may be plentiful. And the fire... that fire never goes out, but today it burns brighter than ever. The rowan will be at the centre of the ritual to protect the hearths. And meanwhile... the earth is still waiting to quench its thirst. Never let your fire go out. Blessed Beltane, folks!!
