My name is Diana and I want to welcome you to Seiðr Art. I'm really happy you're here!

Thank you for coming into this little corner that talks about who I am and what I do. Seiðr Art is a place where the herbalist, craftswoman and herbal witch in me shares with the world her herbal creations and wild crafts.

With this, with my creations, offerings and crafts, this herbalist, this craftswoman, this witch and, above all, this person so close to the Earth and nature, tries to transmit in the best possible way all her love and deep respect for them. For that Earth and that nature that welcome us, for its cycles and the traditions and folklore forgotten over the years.

The name Seiðr Art is based on the strong respect I have for Nordic folklore, for the depth of its knowledge, the strength and authenticity of the practices of seiðr magic. Seiðr magic is the magic practiced by the völvas, deeply connected with themselves and with nature, guided by intuition and the other worlds. For me all that is really an art and that's why I chose this name.

It would be great for me to be able to say that since I was a child I lived in nature, knowing the forest, learning from it and the herbal traditions.... But it was not like that. All this love and these creations were born out of a need and a fire that always burned deep inside me until it gained so much strength, grew so much in intensity that I could only listen to it and let it out. I grew up in a small town and my contact with nature was limited to a few trips to the mountains with my family on weekends. I was always really attracted to the forest and all that dwells within it, but I didn't have the opportunity to really get in touch and get to know it in depth until well into adulthood. I dare say that before all that respect and ignorance almost seemed like fear, fear of damaging something so valuable, so big, something capable of surprising me more each new day with all it has to offer.

Everything comes, when it should, everything happens at the right time and, I can assure you, this is how it happened in my life. After a teenage and early adult years living a life closer to the city than to the countryside (due to my circumstances) something happened inside me. The flame that had always been inside me now wanted to become a big fire. I began to suffer some health problems, not serious but continuous and even chronic. Faced with the inability of modern medicine to give me a solution, to alleviate and cure my ailments, the need arose, which was the first spark to get here. To the point from where I am writing to you now. It was then that I became my own healer and, since that day, I continue to work tirelessly.

I began to feel an infinite curiosity to know why we should resign ourselves when nature offers us everything we need. Why should we look the other way? I began to read tirelessly everything I could get my hands on related to herbalism, traditional medicine, folklore and long forgotten traditions, everything that has kept us alive until now, that has brought us here. Books began to fill my bookshelves and, folklore, herbal tradition and magic filled my soul.

Then I began to study what I really liked, what really made me happy. My learning in recent years has been based on natural and herbal medicine, phytotherapy, herbalism, folklore, nutrition and natural cosmetic preparations. I have taken several courses and workshops, attended training lectures, read many books and publications on all these subjects as well as folklore and paganism, ancient traditions, magic and myths, and that is how I have been connecting in this deep way with my inner self and with the nature that surrounds us and its wild power. And that is also how I realized that the mystery that surrounds these traditions, folklore and herbalism, is immense. And exciting. The more I read, the greater my love for this world, the greater my interest to know more, to know more, to go further.

I never stop learning and surprising myself.

And that is precisely where the magic lies.

That is how my desire to share all the richness I have been discovering all these years was born. Now I live much closer to the forest, where I belong, near magical places full of power, near a clearing where an owl sleeps every night. And that closeness has transformed into connection. I have united my love and respect for Mother Earth and the forests that nourish and protect us, herbal medicine, folklore, forgotten traditions, old customs, magic... I have traveled almost forgotten paths and with all that I shape my dreams and those of others. With a great pagan pride in preserving our roots, the true ones, inspired by all that nature offers us, deeply connected with the soul of traditions and herbal medicine. For me this is real life, it is not about work, not a hobby, for me it is a way of life, deep and connected to the environment. It is real.

This whole process has been influenced by people around me and people I have met along the way. Each and every one of those people have made, in one way or another, that I am here today, writing these words.

I always work with natural ingredients, free of toxics, without additives, nature in its pure state, tools made by myself or by other artisans in a traditional way. My hands treat with great love everything they create, everything I shape and that you can now see here, on my website. Each offering I make is a ritual and here I want to share it with you.
